Store misleading marketing involves deceptive practices like false claims, hidden fees, and "bait-and-switch" tactics that trick consumers into purchasing, often violating laws against unfair competition.

Common examples include fake "always on sale" pricing, inflated "going out of business" sales, and misleading imagery.

TacticsBait and Switch: Advertising a product at a low price without intent to sell it, intending to switch customers to a more expensive item

Sales and Pricing: Items permanently marked "on sale" or "50% off" when they are never sold at the original "regular" price.

Hidden Fees and Fine Print: Important, restrictive information placed in tiny text, or fees added at the last moment.

False "Free" Offers: Items labeled "free" that actually require mandatory paid purchases or hidden costs.

Misleading Imagery: Using photos that make products appear larger, better quality, or different than they actually are.

"Going Out of Business" Sales: Falsely claiming a store is liquidating to drive traffic, despite not actually closing.
